Being at Infinit Frameworks today made me realise a few things.

1) I Fucking love what i do.
2) Everyone who said i'll end up jobless doing such a course, Sorry people i'll prove you wrong
3) I've found my calling, Animation and 3D Modelling

Man that place is awesome. Ever seen on TV how companies like Dreamworks create a comfy laid back environment for their employees so that they can enjoy thier work? This is offically the FIRST Singapore company i've seen that totally sticks to that mantra.

Its actually 3 Mansions that were converted into thier office. But even then it still looks like a house a filthy rich man would stay in. Surrounded by all that technology, all that revolutionary works of art, its simply too much to put into words.

I nearly had the urge to bow down before this SGI system. I know most of you would not understand but i mena standing direclty in front of a SGI ONYX system is like standing before the holy grail. I would dearly love to work at that place. It would be like living or "working" in heaven on earth.

Seeing the recent telecast of American Idol made me think of a rather interesting topic to write on for this post.

The human mind.

What actually goes on in the heads of some people? Do they even realise what they are doing? Once again, i recall having read my dad's psychology book. It says that all of us have a concious and subconcious mind(SCM). However, contrary to popular believe, most of the time it is the SCM that controls most of the decisions we make.

When we see people doing wierd stuff, we wonder, "what on earth could this guy be thinking doing such a thing". But to that guy, he IS normal, while everyone else around him is just plain dumb.

Heaving read an article quite some time ago, the Fodorian concept of modularity explicitly states that the empiricist model of the mind as a general-purpose computer isnt true. Fodor argued that the mind contains a variety of specialized input and output systems, or modules, as well as a general-purpose central arena in which beliefs get fixed, decisions taken, and so on. Input systems might include a variety of visual systems; including face-recognition, auditory systems, taste, touch, and so on; but they also include a language-faculty (which contains, simultaneously, an output/production system; or else which divides into input and output sub-systems.

In each of us, these modules function differently just like how programming would function differently at the hands of different programmers.

After saying all that, there is but one conclusion. Even with the advent of science and neuropsychology and what not, nobody has even come close to understanding exactly why we do what we do. The mind is simply too complex. Makes you wonder about the eternal being looking down at us doesnt it.

You know, I think i might take up psychology just as a sideline thing. Interesting and deep.

Fact: The apparent fact of a duck's quack not being able to echo is completely false.

Not blogged in a while. Benn extremely busy with school stuff; filming, reports etc. Anyway cant wait for saturday. Been invited to have a guided tour around one of Singapore's visual effects production house; Frameworks inc. I never expected Singapore to have such a top class visual effects house. Anyone seen the discovery ads? Those 3D ones? All done by them.

Many people hate the idea of animation and visual effects, cause its too tedious and tough. I somehow love doing stuff like that. Hard work somehow motivates me to do even more. Well no suprise thier, i've been considered wierd by some of my friends; NIMRTA!!!!!! Anyway, got to get back to my work, will try and blog again soon.

FACT: No word in the English language rhymes with "MONTH"

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!

What a fantastic match by Singapore. My god if they keep at this I'm positive thier 2010 World Cup vision will come true. Raddy Avramovic FANTASTIC coaching together with Fandi. Dickson and Indra fantastic players, and a big salute to the Singapore defenders. But the Man of the Match has got to be lionel lewis. Brilliant saves and excellent ball keeping. Very much like Rustu Recber for Turkey during the World Cup 2002. Thank you Lions, you didnt let your supporters down.

Sorry Myanmar, this is what you get for being sore losers. Its not all the Burmese that are like that, just a select few, but that is bad enough. To the critics, luck had nothing to do with our win, you can eat your words. Last but not least, a special salute to the Indonesia team and fans. Thank you for being such great sports. I'm guessing the Myanmar team should learn from them some sportsmanship at least, especially that big asshole who threw the bottle at Subramani. You can go suck on your own dick now.

CHEERS TO SINGAPORE!!!!!MAY THERE BE MANY MORE VICTORIES AHEAD

Fact: Did you know that the Yamaha logo is actually 3 tuning forks.

I love animation, I love doing video work. What I hate is not being prepared. First things first, let me apologise to my group cause i absentmindedly left the tape at home, and i need to apologise especially to Yuling for making her stressed getting the tape.

Anyway, I think I want to suggest a retake of our scene again, not that we have already done alot of shots anyway. I dont think the shots we have now are any good, cause on that day I just didnt have the concept of how each shot was supposed to be like. A result of not being prepared. By next week i'm hoping i can properly visualize the shots and get the camera angles correct.

Terence is making it difficult to concentrate, every now and then he gives stupid comments or ideas. Take this for example, WHY in heaven's green earth would a school teacher that is trying to gain his class's attention, do a KARATE CHOP on a HARD table. What's he trying to do? Break his hand in the hope of getting sympathy? I think i'm gonna modify that shot so that when Terence's character tries to speak, the teacher, who by the way is supposed to have powers, waves his hand and Terence's mouth gets covered with masking tape.

Need to get everything done by next week, before the other assignments start pilling up. Gotta think of how to film the invisible girl scene in the Green Screen lab as well.

Anyway, from now on i'll try and include a fact everytime i post a blog. Starting now.

Fact: Did you know, that a Dog was governer of california at one point in time and actually held office for 11 years.

Man i must say, Steve Jobes and Macintosh, is God's gift to Audiophiles and power freaks like me. Man they just released an iPod Shuffle, its all the benefits of owning an ipod, only smaller, more compact and cheaper.

I mean just take a look at its sleek design, Apple has alwasy gone for the minimalistic approach and i support that 100%. AS SMALL AS A PACK OF GUM!!!! And the best thing is, its size does not compromise the quality of its audio production that everyone has come to expect from the iPod. And the price? Just as comparable if not cheaper than an average MP3 player similar to this. And Creative is talking about beating sales of Apple with its Zen touch series, Mr Sim, "Go Home Sleep La".

I have personally tried both the iPod AND the Zen mp3 player, audio clearity and production wise...Zen doesnt come close to even COMPARING let alone beat the iPod.

And now the mac Mini. It encompases all the features of an ordinary iBook or Powerbook, yet once again, its size isnt relative to its functional power. I mean just take a look at wad this bad boy packs in its arsenal.

1.42GHz PowerPC G4256MB DDR333 SDRAMATI Radeon 9200 with 32MB DDR video memory 80GB Ultra ATA hard driveCombo driveDVI or VGA video outputAirPort Extreme and Bluetooth.

And its almost HALF the cost. If anyone ever wants to do multimedia work, throw Billy away seek refuge under Steve's arms. Its nice and warm there, and i'm sure even his armpit hair has the workings of G5.

Do any of you sometimes feel that when u talk to certain people, you just get the feeling that the intellectual level just isnt there. Yow want someone who talks bout current affairs or stuff that actually requires more then 2 brain cells to comprehend, but instead they go on and on bout thier own shit that nobody gives a damn.

Sad to say some of the people i know i like that, just to make things clear haha i'm not refering to ANYONE from SP or those close to me. Its just a few of my friends..or actually aquentences rather, that are like that. Thats why some of you in my msn would have realised that eventhough i sometimes put myself as "away" i'm actually still there; i just pretend not to be online for when these people message me.

Now onto other stuff. I was reading my dad's psychology book the other day and i read this one rather interesting thing about hypnotherephy. It says that there is actually no such thing as hypnosis. The human brain actually has been so conditioned throughout the years of evolution that everything it does depends on the authority of its surroundings. Meaning that when you are being hypnotized, you dont actually fall in a trance, its just that you brain willingly gives in and obeys the commands being given to you by the hypnotherepist.

So in actual fact when u think you are being mind controlled, its actually your perception that is making you belief you actually ARE. Ponder on that

OLE OLE OLE OLE...OLE...OLE
I must say today's game by Singapore was one of the best i've seen so far. Raddy Avramovic has done really good in selecting his starting line up for this match. Superb defending and magnificant goalkeeping by Lionel Lewis. And not to mention the forwards...Casmir and Dickson....BLACK POWER!!!! This has definately got to be the first in a long long time that i've got so excited watching a game played by Singapore. This should show the critics from the last Myanmar match what Singapore is made off. I've got quite a few Mynamar friends so i shall not infringe on thier thoughts .....however i will say this....everyon is entitled to thier own views...dont direct blows at each other cause of such minial differences.

GD LUCK SG for the 2nd LEG

Superficial - "observations based on what's apparent and obvious; discarding the underlying factors."

That's how i would describe the world. Superficial. Why cant people just look past whats on the surface and get to know whats underneath. But when it comes to the "wants and needs" its like they've just put on a pair of "everything-is-so-shiny glasses". I think life has given me a great opportunity by giving me many many friends with different levels of thought. To allow me to see for myself how the world spins.

Hears something everyone should try. For just one day, dont speak, just listen. You'll be amazed by what you'll hear. I assure you
